Now we get into the good stuff. John Lowe in Hotel is a detective with a tragic past. He’s the “I just want to find my keys and also solve a serial murder” energy. You know that guy at work who always looks like he just saw a ghost? That’s John. He’s exhausted, and it’s contagious.
His journey is a wild ride. One minute he’s a cop, the next he’s drinking blood from a vending machine. We’ve all had a Monday that felt like that, right?
The Twinkie-Eating Emperor (Apocalypse)
In Apocalypse, he plays Gallant, a hairdresser who is basically the end-of-the-world version of a Karen. He complains about the Wi-Fi while the Antichrist is literally melting faces. He’s that friend who asks, “But what am I supposed to wear?” during a zombie apocalypse.
His death is hilariously pathetic. He gets murdered by a feral version of his own grandmother. It’s like getting a bad review on Yelp from your own mom. You just can’t win.
