After answering ten to fifteen questions, the algorithm does its little robot dance. Suddenly, a screen pops up with your soulmate. It might say: “Congratulations! You are 94% compatible with a Toyota RAV4!”
You’ll feel a rush of validation. “Yes! That’s totally me!” Even if you have no idea what a RAV4 looks like, you’ll suddenly love it. It’s the sunk cost fallacy, but for car shopping.
What Car Should You Buy? - Quiz
And if the result is a convertible and you live in Alaska? Don’t panic. The quiz is a guide, not a contract. But maybe take it as a sign that you secretly crave chaos and wind-blown hair.
The Absolute Best Kind of Quiz
Not all quizzes are created equal. Look for one that asks about your budget (money matters, sadly), your lifestyle (camping? commuting? going to the drive-thru?), and your personality.
The best ones also have jokes. You know, like “If your car was a pair of shoes, would it be sneakers, heels, or Crocs?” (Side note: If you answer Crocs, the quiz should only recommend a 1998 minivan with a sticky tape deck.)
Avoid quizzes that only ask about engine specs. Unless you dream about horsepower and torque ratios, those quizzes are just trying to sell you a sport coupe you can’t afford. Stick to the fun ones.
