Say you find one inside your house—maybe it hitchhiked on a plant. Please don’t starve the little guy. You don’t have a ready supply of powdery mildew, right? (Unless your bathroom has a mold problem. In which case, have a ladybug and call a plumber.)
Your best bet? Release it outdoors near a plant with mild fungal issues. But if you’re desperate to play bug parent, you can offer a small dish of honey water (one part honey, ten parts water) on a cotton ball. They’ll sip it like a tiny mojito. Just don’t expect them to go full ladybug buffet on your kitchen counter.
