Our pop-culture brain mixes up Counts and Countesses with two very different people. There’s the snobby Countess who acts like she owns the place (well, she does) and complains about the "help" breathing too loud. She’s the medieval version of the person who sends back their soup at a five-star restaurant because it's "too hot."
Then there’s the cool Count. This is the guy who doesn't wear the crown all day. He’s the one who shows up to the village fair, buys everyone a round of mead, and arm-wrestles a blacksmith for fun. He’s the rich uncle who lets you drive his Ferrari.

She creates a themed email chain, assigns potluck dishes, and makes sure Mr. Henderson doesn't put his grill too close to the children’s bounce house. She has a domain, and she rules it with a clipboard.

And the modern Count? That’s your buddy who has the best tool shed. He owns two leaf blowers, a pressure washer, and a level that has a laser. He’s the regional manager of his own driveway. When you need a ladder, you call him. He holds a little fiefdom of home improvement.
The point is, being a Count or Countess isn't about blue blood or fancy hats. It’s about responsibility over a place. It’s about being the person others look to when the "big" decision needs to be made—like which pizza place to order from for the game.
