You can use quadrants to make better decisions without even drawing lines. Ask yourself: “Is this choice moving me up and right (positive), or up and left (distraction)?”
Quadrant Graph
For example, deciding whether to go to the gym or watch TV? The gym is Quadrant I (hard but healthy). TV is Quadrant II (fun but unproductive). Both are valid—but knowing the quadrant helps you choose honestly.
Even relationships have quadrants. A friend who makes you laugh (horizontal) but also supports your goals (vertical) is a Quadrant I friend. Someone who drains you? That’s a Quadrant III relationship—time to rethink that one!
