London is currently building a few new skyscrapers that might challenge The Shard one day. The most famous one is 22 Bishopsgate, which is only 912 feet tall. It’s like the little brother who’s trying to steal the spotlight.

Then there’s 1 Undershaft (nicknamed “The Trellis” because it looks like a giant garden fence). It’s planned to be 869 feet. Close, but no cigar, buddy.
So for now, The Shard remains king. Long may it reign—unless someone builds a skyscraper made of actual cheese in the shape of a crown. I’d pay to see that.
