Bottled water companies love to boast about their mineral content. “Glacier-sourced!” “Volcanic-filtered!”
Guess what? Your tap water usually has the same minerals—often more. Regulation is tight.
So unless you’re sipping from a genuine remote Alaskan stream (while being chased by a bear), tap water is a mineral powerhouse.
What About Distilled Water?
Distilled water is the rebellious teen of the water world. It says, “No minerals. I’m pure.”
It’s great for irons and car batteries. But drinking it long-term? Bad idea. It leaches minerals from your body.
Imagine a friend who only takes and never gives. That’s distilled water. Rude.
