Picture this: you’re leaving Victoria after a long day of meetings. You’re tired, your feet hurt, and you just want to collapse. If you need to get to Oxford Circus for a bit of retail therapy, the Victoria line will have you there before you finish saying “sorry.” If you need to get to St. James’s Park for a peaceful walk, the District line is a two-stop hop that feels like a gentle hug.

I once made the mistake of hopping on the District line when I really needed the Victoria line. I was going to Green Park (a quick hop on the Victoria line), but I boarded the District line and ended up going around the world via South Kensington. I was late. My coffee got cold. Don’t be like me.
