Here’s my non-scientific, blog-following-your-bladder verdict: Drink whatever you’ll actually drink. Sounds dumb, but it’s the whole point. If you hate the taste of tap water, you’ll avoid water altogether, which is worse than drinking “overpriced mountain runoff.” Get a filter, buy a single bottle with an interesting label, or—if you’re brave—just drink from your tap with a slice of lemon. The best water for you is the one you’re not overanalyzing while you sip it. Just take a gulp and move on with your life. (And for the love of hydration, stay away from those $40-a-bottle “vapor-distilled” gimmicks. Your wallet will thank you.)
