So, when is Leslie Odom Jr. in Hamilton London? I get this question like, constantly. It’s the “Is there milk in the fridge?” of theater gossip.
Here’s the brutally honest truth, my friend: he’s not. Not right now. As of this moment, he is not in the London production. I know, I know. Put down the teacup.
But don’t throw your phone across the room just yet. Let’s unpack this. It’s a wild ride.
Remember When He Was There?
Let’s rewind. Leslie Odom Jr. originated the role of Aaron Burr. He did it on Broadway. He did it in Chicago. He did it in London too, for a hot minute in 2017.
That was the big, splashy opening. The lights were blinding. The critics went bananas. And he was absolutely perfect.
But that was then. He left to do movies (like Hamilton the film, One Night in Miami… you know, big stuff). He moved on. He evolved. He started getting paid the real big bucks.
The Cast is Always Changing
Here’s the thing about Hamilton in London: it’s a machine. A very well-oiled, incredibly talented machine. The cast changes all the time. It’s like a beautiful, rotating door of excellence.
Right now, the Burr in London is amazing. Honestly, they all are. You won’t be disappointed. But is it Leslie? Not unless you’ve got a time machine.

And if you do have a time machine, can I borrow it? I want to see the OBC again. No questions asked.
