Like I mentioned, the 2026 Strawberry Moon was a solstice moon. That means the sun was at its highest point of the year, and the moon was hanging low and huge in the sky. It created this beautiful, golden glow that made everyone with a camera go a little crazy.

It also meant the moon looked enormous when it rose, especially near the horizon. That’s a classic optical illusion, but who cares? It looked like a giant, glowing coin. If you missed it, don’t worry—you can just pretend you were too busy living your best life.
When Can We See the Next One?
Mark your calendars, because the next Strawberry Moon will rise on June 5, 2026. That’s not too far away! It won’t be a solstice moon, but it will still be the sweetest full moon of early summer. You have a whole year to plan your strawberry-themed viewing party.
And here’s a little insider tip: the best time to look is right after sunset, when the moon is just peeking over the horizon. It’ll look bigger and more golden. Think of it as the moon’s version of a big, dramatic entrance—complete with a spotlight.
