Sort of. The Nissan Aguascalientes A2 plant is the main hub. But the Versa also shares some bones with its sibling, the Nissan Sentra, which was built in the same complex. Think of it like a communal kitchen where the Versa is the toast and the Sentra is the fancy avocado—same bread, different toppings.
There’s also the Nissan Reséndiz plant in Aguascalientes (the older one). While it mostly builds the Sentra and the Kicks, the Versa’s engine and transmission parts often come from there. It’s a family affair, and everyone brings their own dish to the potluck.
What About Other Countries?
Here’s the twist: if you’re in China, your Versa (called the Sunny there) might be built in Guangzhou at the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture. And if you’re in Mexico itself, the Versa is also built locally—but you already knew that.

For most of the world, though, the answer is Mexico. It’s like the Versa decided to put down roots in a place with better tacos and warmer weather. Smart choice, little car. Smart choice.
