Have you ever walked into a real plumbing supply store? It smells like copper and capability. Places like Ferguson, Grainger, or your local independent shop often stock the Fleck 5600SXT.
The big win here is immediate gratification. You walk in, you buy it, you drive home. No waiting for the brown truck. Plus, if something goes wrong, you have a physical place to return it to, which feels way safer than a digital receipt.
The catch? You might pay a little more than online. But is that worth the peace of mind of talking to a human who can point you to the right fittings? Often, yes.

Home Improvement Big Boxes (Lowes and Home Depot?)
Ah, the elephant in the room. You might be thinking, “Can’t I just grab one at Home Depot or Lowes?” Short answer: sometimes, but it’s tricky.
These stores usually stock the cheaper, proprietary brands like Whirlpool or GE. The Fleck 5600SXT is like the special guest artist who doesn’t usually play the big arena. You might find it listed on their websites as a special order, but don’t expect it on the shelf next to the paint cans.
If you see it, grab it. But your time is better spent hunting online or at a supply house.
