Spider’s dad is Miles Quaritch. Yes, that Quaritch. The bald, muscle-bound, human-hating colonel from the first movie. The one who died at the end. Surprise! He’s a dad now.
But here’s the kicker: Quaritch doesn’t know. Or at least, he doesn’t care in the way a normal dad would. Spider was born in the hellish “Bridgehead” facility on Pandora. Quaritch was busy being a warmonger, not a diaper-changer.
Spider is a human boy, but he grew up with the Na’vi. He speaks their language, he climbs like a monkey, and he considers Jake Sully a weird, distant figure. He is totally untethered from his biological father.
