The winners were Maya and Raj, a pair of former travel bloggers from Bristol. They crossed the finish line in Bali with just 20 minutes of a lead. Talk about a nail-biter, right?
What makes it so cool? They didn’t just rely on luck. They used local buses and homestays the entire route, skipping the flashy taxis and hostels everyone else fought over. It’s like they played chess while everyone else played checkers.
Why Their Win Feels Different
Most seasons, the winners are the ones who sprint through airports and sleep on benches. Not this time. Maya and Raj spent extra hours helping a stranded farmer fix his truck in Laos. That kindness actually earned them a shortcut he knew about.
Karma is real, people. And it moves faster than a Southeast Asian train.
