So, was Karen onto something? Partly. Hydrogen peroxide does kill viruses on surfaces when used correctly. But she forgot the “sit time” and probably ended up with damp, barely-disinfected mail. (Sorry, Karen.)
If you want a reliable, cheap, and relatively safe disinfectant, keep that brown bottle under your sink. Just remember: clean first, spray generously, wait a minute, then wipe. That’s it. No belly scrubbing, no air misting, no freestyling. Your tissues will thank you.
P.S. — Still nervous about that mail? Just wash your hands after opening it. Peroxide or not, soap and water are still the undefeated champions. Go figure.
